Gathering Generations
There's a special kind of magic that happens when grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins come together for an extended family session. These sessions are more than just photographs; they're an opportunity to document a living history, create lasting memories, and celebrate the bonds that tie us together across generations.
Life gets busy, distances grow, and opportunities to gather everyone in one place become rare and precious. An extended family photoshoot provides that unique opportunity to freeze a moment in time where everyone is present.
It's also a great excuse to gather or a picnic or go out to eat afterwards.

How the Session Flows
I approach all my sessions with flexibility to accommodate your families specific needs. Generally speaking, we'll start by capturing the entire group together and then focus on the groupings with those that may not be able to stay happy or comfortable for the full session. Once those are done, we'll continue thru the rest of the groupings. However, if we need to switch it up and switch groupings in-and-out that's totally fine - I go thru a checklist before leaving to make sure we get what you need.
For extended family photos, the minimum groups are generally these combos if desired:
- Entire extended family with a couple configurations
- Each nuclear family unit
- Grandparents together
- Each grandparent alone
- Grandparents with their children
- Grandparents with grandkids
- All the children
- All the siblings
- Each child
- Each couple
- Generations of Men/Women
- Each adult
